About the Project
Project Garima is an initiative by Tresna Foundation to provide sanitation facilities to girls in rural schools and women in villages. Lack of access to proper sanitation facilities is a major problem in rural areas, and can lead to health issues and loss of dignity, especially for women and girls. The project aims to address this problem by building washrooms in schools and villages.
Objective:
The main objective of Project Garima is to provide access to safe and hygienic sanitation facilities to girls and women in rural areas. This will help in reducing the number of girls dropping out of schools due to the lack of proper facilities, and also improve the overall health and hygiene of the community.
Mission:
Tresna Foundation believes that every person has the right to access basic sanitation facilities, and is committed to making this a reality for the people in rural areas. The mission of Project Garima is to build washrooms in schools and villages, with a focus on creating facilities that are safe, hygienic and easily accessible to everyone.
Action:
To achieve the mission and objective of Project Garima, Tresna Foundation has partnered with local communities, NGOs and government bodies. The project team works closely with the community to identify the most pressing needs and develop a plan to address them. The construction of washrooms is done in a way that is sustainable and eco-friendly, and all materials used are locally sourced.
The project has already made significant progress, with several washrooms being built in schools and villages. Tresna Foundation has also taken steps to ensure that the facilities are properly maintained and that the community is educated on the importance of hygiene and sanitation.
