Menstual Hygiene – TRESNA

Menstrual hygiene is one of the most important, yet neglected, health issues in the developing world.
A UNICEF study revealed that 10% of Indian women believe that menstruation is a disease. Limited access to information, as well as cultural taboos and social stigmas attached to menstruation, have a negative impact on the lives and health of millions of girls and women.
Let us all do our bit in making our society accept natural processes that happen in a female’s body and spread greater awareness!
Tresna is taking a step towards awareness for better menstrual hygiene by organizing a campaign on International Women’s Day. We aim to smash the silence and stigma that surrounds menstruation and hygiene during menses.
