A reflection of our journey with Project Swabhiman on Menstrual Hygiene Day

On Menstrual Hygiene Day as we celebrate womanhood and mother Nature we are also aware of our mission to redesign the lives of adolescent girls and women in rural areas of the Country.
Tresna Foundation is moving steadily in improving the sanitation facilities at schools under Project Garima. Positively impacting on school dropout rate and menstrual awareness among girls.
Project Swabhiman saw the organisation of campaigns at schools which are in the jurisdiction of Tarapur, Khambhat, Petlad, Sojitra, Anklav,Borsad, Umreth Taluka of Anand District.
Team Swabhiman conducts interactive sessions for awareness on the phase they traverse with adolescence. The risk of health issues for young girls such as infections, reproductive tract disorders etc., is a worrying factor. We also distribute sanitary napkins during these sessions.
Tresna Foundation gleams with pride to state we have reached out to Government schools and touched the lives of 35000 girls across the State. Project Swabhiman intends to cover more schools and regions in the near future.
Tresna Foundation wishes to see each girl child soar higher without being clipped of her beautiful wings.
