Good Touch & Bad Touch Campaign – MASOOM
AdminTresna Foundation in association with Pochabhai Foundation organized first session of Good Touch Bad Touch Campaign of Project MASOOM, a joint initiative by Times Foundation, Young Indians, Childline that is supported by Claris in Gudel village of Khambhat taluka in Anand district. It lies at a distance of 100 km from Ahmedabad. This session was organized in the government school of Gudel, the only school in the village, and 120 children from 1st to 8th standard and 10 teachers were part of this session on awareness about Good Touch & Bad Touch and ways of tackling with Bad Touch incidences. Conducted by Mr. Uttam Sharma of Times Foundation, it was a very engrossing and insightful session for the children and teachers. Series of such sessions will also be held in 9 more villages of Khambhat and Tarapur talukas shortly.
Project Masoom is a campaign against child sexual abuse wherein more than 10,000 children, girls as well as boys, have been covered and more than 1000 teachers have been trained to undertake and run awareness campaigns in their schools.
