Menstrual Hygiene Awareness at Anand

One more taluka of Anand district in the ongoing project “Swabhiman” by Tresna Foundation has been included. So far the project has been implemented in Tarapur, Khambhat, Sojitra, Petlad taluka. In Umreth taluka also the success is good. Among them 3704 girls in 59 schools have understood about menstrual hygiene.Excessive social norms, superstitions and lack of understanding of girls related to menstruation in rural areas is a concern. More information is necessary to shed light for them. Thus, through Project “Swabhiman”, these girls are given basic understanding and knowledge too.It is our aim to provide the same with the Project.
