Menstrual hygiene is critical to the empowerment and well-being of women and girls worldwide
In rural areas, women and adolescent girls still lack adequate information regarding menstruation and many misconceptions are created due to which they have to go through challenging situations.
Tresna Foundation organized a Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Program under Project Swabhiman in Primary Girls’ School Vanthwadi, Mahemdavad. Under this program, menstruation is a natural process that every human should take for granted. Women and girls have the right to manage their menstrual cycle in a clean and respectful manner. Considering all these issues, this information was provided to the girls through video visuals and discussion.
We value and support the ability to manage menstruation with dignity and strive to increase menstrual confidence among adolescent girls.
