Led by Mrs. Rohini Chandra – Project Head for CAPED from Tresna Foundation, and Mr. Ravi Sisodiya – Head of Operations (Implementations) from CAPED India, the training equipped 43 ASHA workers (15 from PHC Palana and 28 from PHC Pij in Vaso Taluka, Kheda District, Gujarat) with the knowledge and skills for the fight against cervical cancer.
Now the ASHA workers can actively raise awareness and conduct life saving cervical cancer screenings for women of the region. They can create awareness effectively as they are work at the grassroots level in rural communities and are well connected with the women in rural and interior regions. This grassroots training lays the foundation for sustainable health practices within these communities.
Historically, limited resources and lack of awareness have created significant barriers for women accessing healthcare. Our efforts aim to address these challenges and ensure women’s health is prioritised.
