Iron Deficiency Awareness AT Bhagwanpura Prathmik Shala, Chaklasi
Iron Deficiency Day is observed every year on November 26th to raise awareness about the serious health consequences of iron deficiency. To ensure that iron deficiency does not have an impact on the lives of girls at Bhagwanpura Prathmik Shala, Chaklasi, Tresna Foundation assisted them by providing Awareness, Counselling, Food Supplements like Peanuts, Chickpeas, Jaggery, Shiro, and Iron tablets, as well as educating them on regaular intervals about the importance of iron in food as well as on Health.
This initiative began as a three-months pilot project with the goal of improving the nutritional status of rural school girls and spread a sense of nourishment in the early years and to raise awareness about various micronutrients, their functions, and importance in human health. Iron Deficiency Day is an opportunity to raise awareness about this important issue and encourage people to take action to prevent or treat iron deficiency.
